Sometimes it’s not one specific need driving the request for support — it’s a general sense that daily life at home has got harder to manage alone. Our elderly care visits flex around whatever that looks like for you: help getting up and dressed, preparing meals, managing medication, or just having someone check in regularly.

The aim is simple — helping you stay independent and safe in your own home for as long as that’s what you want, with support that adjusts as your needs change rather than locking you into a fixed package.

Is Elderly Care Right for You?

Elderly care might be the right fit if:

  • Everyday tasks like getting up, washing, or preparing meals have become more difficult to manage alone
  • You want to stay independent at home rather than move into residential care
  • You’ve had a fall, illness, or general decline that’s made you or family concerned about safety
  • You want flexible support that can start small and grow, rather than a fixed package
  • A family member is worried about you living alone and wants reassurance someone is checking in regularly

What Your Carer Can Help With

  • Personal care: washing, bathing, dressing, and continence support, delivered with dignity and at your pace
  • Mobility support: help getting up, moving around the home safely, and preventing falls
  • Meal preparation: cooking proper meals and encouraging good nutrition
  • Medication prompts: helping you keep track of when to take medication
  • Light housework: laundry, washing up, and keeping your home clean and safe
  • Companionship: regular contact and conversation, not just a rushed practical visit
  • Getting out and about: help attending appointments, running errands, or simply getting outside

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know what level of care I need?

You don’t need to know in advance. Our free home visit is about working that out together, and the plan can always change later.

Can care start with just a little support and increase later?

Yes. Many clients start with a couple of visits a week and add more as needs grow, right up to live-in care if that becomes necessary.

Can elderly care be paid for through Direct Payments?

Yes. We support clients funding their own care through Direct Payments and can help you set this up.

Will I have the same carer each time?

We aim to keep a small, consistent team assigned to you, rather than a rotating cast of strangers.

What if I just need occasional help, not every day?

That’s fine. There’s no minimum number of visits. Some clients have one visit a week, others have several a day.
